Faculty of Applied Sciences was established as a College affiliated with Trakya University with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2005/9490 on 30/09/2005. It was transformed into a Faculty by the “resmi gazete” dated 25/12/2019 and numbered 30989 and the Presidential decision numbered 1911. The school started its undergraduate education activities by recruiting students to the Department of Tourism Management and Hotel Management in the 2006-2007 academic year. As of the 2020-2021 academic year, it continues its education activities as the Department of Tourism Management within the faculty.

Our graduates of the Department of Tourism Management can work in accommodation establishments, travel agencies and tour operators serving in the tourism sector, and in both ground and flight services of airline companies, as well as being easily employed in other branches of the private sector, thanks to the business management-based training they receive. Thanks to the foreign language courses given systematically every semester in our school, employment opportunities abroad are also possible for our graduate students.

Faculty of Applied Sciences is located in Ayşekadın Campus, the most central campus of Trakya University. The location of our school is very comfortable, with its proximity to shopping malls and the city center, as well as to residential areas. Dozens of restaurants and cafeterias around Ayşekadın Campus offer various food and beverage services to our students. In addition, our school's Ayşekadın Campus has the greenest and most nature-friendly landscaping, allowing our students to relax.

Throughout the academic year, we host tourism industry representatives at our school and carry out efforts to integrate the university and the sectors through various panels and conferences. In this way, our students have the opportunity to socialize with industry representatives, find internship opportunities and compare and choose the areas they will work in the future. In addition, various activities organized by students at our school support students in increasing their organizational skills and gaining self-confidence.
