Tourism Management Students Visited TÜRSAB Thrace Regional Representation

On April 25, 2025, the 4th-year students of the Tourism Management Department at Trakya University Faculty of Applied Sciences, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahadır Sezer, visited the TÜRSAB Thrace Regional Representation Office in Edirne and the Edirne City Museum. The event was held with the participation of Egemen Aydın, Chairperson of the TÜRSAB Thrace Regional Representative Committee, and Aydemir Ay, Tourism Advisor of Edirne Municipality.

During the event, students received detailed information on topics such as "Travel Agency Operations," "The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB)," and "Designing Cultural Tourism Routes and Edirne Itineraries." The responsibilities of travel agencies, the process of establishing an agency, challenges faced in the sector, recent developments in travel agency operations, and TÜRSAB’s structure, duties, and authorities were also discussed with the students.

Furthermore, promotional needs for Edirne were addressed through an interactive discussion, in which students actively contributed to brainstorming ideas for necessary brochures and mobile applications that could enhance the region's visibility.

The event concluded with mutual hopes to continue the ongoing cooperation with TÜRSAB, a key stakeholder in the accreditation process of the Tourism Management Department at Trakya University. The visit significantly contributed to the professional development of the students.
