Social Event (Students' Football Match)

On Thursday, April 24, 2025, between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, students from the 1st and 2nd years of the Tourism Management Department at the Faculty of Applied Sciences came together for a meaningful and enjoyable social event. Organized under the leadership of Lecturer Sibel Selviden Albayrak, the students participated in a friendly football match on an indoor field.

The event was also attended by other faculty members of the department, along with their families, contributing to a warm and engaging atmosphere that strengthened student-faculty interaction. Beyond the excitement and friendly competition on the field, the evening was filled with sincere conversations and shared laughter, which were warmly received by all participants.

At the end of the match, a traditional Turkish treat—a large tray of baklava—was served, adding a sweet touch to the evening and helping everyone unwind. Students expressed their appreciation for the event, noting that such gatherings not only enhance their sense of belonging to the department but also serve as a refreshing break from the academic routine.

This meaningful gathering, which aimed to boost social interaction and a sense of unity, concluded not only with fond memories but also with plans for future events. Both students and academic staff agreed on the importance of continuing such activities and have already begun looking forward to the next one.
